Deanna "Susie" (Oldfather) Tygart

Deanna “Susie” Tygart, 77, of Greentown, passed Sunday evening, December 2, 2018, at 11:00pm at Century Villa Health Care in Greentown, surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late Dean Oldfather and Helen Oldfather. Susie was born October 29, 1941, in Peru, IN. She grew up in Miami, IN and graduated from Bunker Hill high school in 1959.

Susie worked at Delco Electronics in Kokomo for 22 years, retiring in July 1991. She was active at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Kokomo, IN, where she enjoyed teaching children’s Sunday School and volunteering in many other capacities. Her hobbies included gardening and spending time with grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Lee Tygart, whom she married May 27, 1967. She is also survived by her daughters, Rhonda Ramsey, Brenda Karnes and Jodie Hendershot; step-daughter ,Wendy Bunch; siblings, Steve Oldfather and Marcia Cain; and grandchildren, Jacob Miller, Brittany Reed, Cassie Stout, Brandon Ramsey, Wesley Bunch and Jammie Long.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremiah Shane.

A memorial service will be at 4:00pm Monday, December 10, 2018, at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main Street, Greentown. Friends may visit with the family from 3pm-4pm also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Hasler-Stout Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
