David Pinder Obituary

David L. Pinder, 71, of South Bend, passed away at 8:05 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2019, at the Center for Hospice Care in South Bend. He was born August 16, 1948, in Logansport, to Edward Harold and Lora Fay (Koenig) Pinder.

David graduated from Fulton High School and earned a degree in culinary arts from Ivy Tech. He served with the United States Marine Corps and attained the rank of Lance Corporal before being honorably discharged on May 19, 1974. He later worked as a chef for several restaurants.

Survivors include his son, David A. Pinder and wife Brittany R. (Dunn) Pinder; grandson, Devin Christipher Pinder; granddaughters, Shelby Storm Pinder and Eleanor Mae Pinder; three brothers, Edward George (Lora Ann) Pinder, Richard Lee (June) Pinder and Jerry Dean (Beverly) Pinder; and sister-in-law, Gail Pinder.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert William Pinder.

No services are planned at this time. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements. Private inurnment will take place in Marion National Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
