After graduation, Dave and four basketball players joined the Navy. They were stationed in New London, Connecticut. He was a Yeoman first class. Dave was foremost a devoted father and doting grandfather. You could find him at all his grandchildren’s sporting events and school functions. His hands were those of a hardworking man that gave countless hours to helping family and friends.
Dave was President of the original Haworth Booster Club. He and many volunteers helped build the first football stadium at Haworth. Every summer, Dave volunteered his vacation time to raise money for the Booster Club at the 4H Greentown Fair. He was a 50 year member and past President of the Kokomo Masonic Lodge. Dave was a member of St. Luke’s Church and youth ministry director along with his wife, Nancy. He currently attended First Congregational Church. Dave was the first United Parcel driver in Kokomo and worked for UPS for 37 years. He received awards from the UPS President and Governor. Dave worked for Meijer’s for 15 years.
