David Catt Obituary

David Milton Catt, 78, Greentown, passed away at 3:12 pm Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Community Heart & Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born May 4, 1941, in Kokomo, the son of the late Alonzo & Amy (Hawkins) Catt. On December 28, 1971, in Greentown, he married Dorothy Jane McCauley who survives. 

David was a 1959 graduate of Kokomo High School.  He retired from Delco Electronics after 34 years of service.  After retirement, David owned and operated Dave’s Stump Removal.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and snowmobiling. 

Along with his wife Dorothy Catt, David is survived by his children, Tracie (Kenny) Zimmerman, Darrin David (Lisa) Catt, and Connie (Mike) Clark; grandchildren, Brandon (Krista) Catt, Courtney Warner, Tyler Catt, Kendra (Brian) Dunford, and Lindsay (Josh) Ray; great-grandchildren, Lileigh Gasaway-Catt, Aiden Ousley, Zander Catt, Kyndall Grace Warner, Katelynn Quinn Warner, Ruby Dunford, Colin Dunford, Rylee Dunford, Lucy Ray, Nora Ray, and Hazel Ray; sister, Carolyn (Bill) Faris, along with several nieces and nephews. 

David was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Matthew Clark; and siblings, Lewis Catt, Marjorie Weaver, and Evelyn Turner.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from Noon until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in David’s memory to the American Heart Association.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
