Craig Crippen Obituary

Craig Allen Crippen, 67, Kokomo, passed away at 5:17 pm on Friday, March 8, 2019, at his home.  He was born April 16, 1951, in Peru, the son of Dale & Betty (Erdle) Crippen.  On April 28, 1984, in Las Vegas, he married Norma M. Gibson who survives.

Craig was a 1969 graduate of Maconaquah High School.  He served with the United States Navy for 12 years and earned the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class.  Craig was an electrician working in various factories.  He was a member of Bethel Tabernacle Church of God.  He loved to garden and had a green thumb, along with building models.

Along with his wife Norma, Craig is survived by his mother, Betty Crippen; children, Jacob (Lauren) Crippen, Benjamin (Stephanie) Crippen, and Samuel Crippen; grandchildren, Kirk (Lisa) Crippen, Kevin Crippen, and Kristi (Chris) Crippen Hale; and sister-in-law, Darleen Crippen, along with several nieces and nephews.

Craig was preceded in death by his father, Dale Crippen; and brothers, Steve Crippen, Gary Crippen, and Kim Crippen.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Bethel Tabernacle Church of God, 661 W. 400 S., Kokomo, with Pastor Steve Branstutter officiating.   Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5-7 pm Wednesday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made in Craig’s memory to Bethel Tabernacle Church of God.  Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
