Charles K. Franklin, 72, Kokomo, passed away at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at his residence. He was born July 31, 1946, in Indianapolis, to William A. Franklin and Edith J. (Bastin) Franklin. On August 28, 1999, he married Nancy (Jackson) Franklin, in Logansport. She preceded him in death on August 26, 2014.
He worked at Continental Steel in Kokomo until it closed in 1986, and then he worked as a self-employed contractor. He was a member of Howard Masonic Lodge #93 in Kokomo. He enjoyed camping, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with family.
Survivors include a daughter, Chrissy (Todd) Merrick of Burlington; son, Bill Adams of Kokomo; son, John (Monica) Adams of Kokomo; son, Chuck (Tina Wynn) Franklin of Kokomo; daughter, Angela (Melissa) Franklin of Kokomo; son, Greg (Elisabeth) Franklin of Lafayette; brother, James A. (Irene) Franklin of Indianapolis; sister, Rosie (Charles L.) Franklin-Hunter of Indianapolis; also several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sons, Tony and William Franklin, best friend and ex-wife, Wilma E. Franklin, and his dog Snickers.
