Chad Ryan Bell

Chad Ryan Bell, 40, Kokomo, found his peace on July 29, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana on November 12, 1978 to Tammy Bell and Gary McKay. On November 12, 2013, he married Abby (Kauffman), who survives. He leaves behind three beautiful children: Logan, Makayla, and Gauge Bell.

Chad loved working on cars and motorcycles. His automotive negotiation skills began early, as he had a knack for trading up bikes beginning in elementary school. He was a huge sports fan and an avid supporter of the Bears, Cubs, and Notre Dame. Chad was best known for his amazing sense of humor, his boisterous and infectious laugh, and his fierce love for his family and friends.

Chad is survived by a large and loving family: parents, Tammy Bell and Gary and Ronda McKay; grandmothers, Constance McKay, and Sherry Harner; siblings, Scott (Tawni) McKay, Christie McKay, Gary (Bridgett) McKay, Heather (Abe) Almager, Kory (Caitlyn) McKay, and Kody (Sarah) McKay; fourteen nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; special grandmother Dea Andrews; and chosen brother Jarrett Rose.

Chad was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Linda Bell, Morris McKay, Mearl “Butch” Wiseheart, and Darvel Harner.

Funeral service will be held at Noon, Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo with Pastor Jeff Russell.  Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10-12 pm Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Chad’s memory to the American Diabetes Foundation, 8604 Allisonville Road, Suite 140, Indianapolis, IN 46250.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
