Catherine Nichole Harvey, 27, West Lafayette, passed away at 8:01 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at her home. She was born December 19, 1991, in Lubbock, Texas, to Charles Stephen and Joy LaDene (Dudley) Harvey.
Catherine graduated from Rampart High School in 2010 and from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2014 with a bachelor of arts, majoring in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics. She was a second grade teacher at Wuhan Yangtz International, in Wuhan, China, from 2013 to 2017 and at Pettit Park Elementary from 2018 to 2019. She was currently working as an executive administrative assistant at Fidelity Investments.
Catherine had many hobbies from hiking to reading, writing, singing, traveling, crafting and many more. She enjoyed going on mission trips and spending quality time with people. She would frequently give little “gifts” to those around her just to encourage them and show her love. She was involved in Crossroads Community Church in a small group, as a volunteer in the middle school ministry and also participated in the Crossroads writer’s group. She loved the Lord deeply and shone her light to every single person she met.
Survivors include her parents; sisters, Jessica (Roy) Adams and Hilary Winans; brother, Nicholas Harvey; nieces and nephew, Abigail, Annabel and Ivan Adams; aunts, Cindy Harvey Danner-Niles and Kathy (Kem) Bock; uncles, Ronald Dudley and Kevin Dudley; and grandmothers, Darlene Harvey-Walker and Wanda Dudley.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Charles Harvey and Dale Dudley, and great-aunt and great-uncle, Bonnie and Ted Eason.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at Crossroads Community Church, 4254 S. 00 EW, Kokomo, with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating.
