Carole Ann McNally, 85, Sharpsville, passed away at 1:10 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 21, 1934, in Deer Creek, to Henry and Ursel (Crites) Hankins. On July 4, 1971, she married Robert A. McNally, at Main Street United Methodist Church in Kokomo, and he survives.
Carole graduated from Kokomo High School in 1952 and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ball State University in 1955. She worked as head nurse in the 2 North Unit at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo and also as a nurse for Stellite and General Motors, retiring in 1992. Carole enjoyed sewing, knitting and hard hanger embroidering. She was a member of Beulah Land Church in Sharpsville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Marcia L. (Mark) Summers, Robert C. McNally, Randy D. (Sally) McNally, Karen S. (Mark) Cooper, Ruth Marie McNally and R. Steve (fiancé Heather) McNally; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Norma Smith.
Funeral services for Carole will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Lori Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
