Burnice Brooks Hannah, 86, Port Orange, Florida, formerly of Greentown, passed away at 5:00 pm Friday September 6, 2019, in Advent Health Hospice Care, Daytona Florida. He was born to Charles E. and Rosa (Brooks) Hannah on July 31, 1933, in Searcy, Arkansas. He married Gladys E. (Pitner) Hannah in Kokomo, Indiana, on November 7, 1953, and she survives.
Burnice served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955. He had been employed at Turner Powell, Hoosier Iron Works, Seven Up Bottling Co., Kokomo Sanitary Pottery, Accurate Parts, and retired after 25 ½ years from Delco Electronics. Burnice was a member of Victory Church of God, Kokomo, and Port Orange Christian Church, Florida. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, bowling, and spending time with family.
Burnice is survived by his wife, Gladys Hannah; children, Teresa (David) Renbarger, Kevin (Robin) Hannah, and Charles (Dawn) Hannah; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Burnice was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy Palmer; five brothers and four sisters.
Visitation for family and friends will be 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm Saturday at Victory Church of God, 2216 E. 100 N., Kokomo, with Pastor Herman Gorham officiating. Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown, with military honors provided by the American Legion Post #317. Hasler & Stout Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
