Bruce E. Prifogle, 70, Kokomo, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at his home. He was born November 30, 1948 in Howard County, the son of Carl & Virginia (Rinehart) Prifogle. On June 7, 1974 he married Alice Jones and she preceded him in death June 1, 1998.
Bruce was a 1967 graduate of Northwestern High School. He honorably served our country in two tours of duty in Vietnam from 1968-74 in the Air Force, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He retired as the plant manager of the Buck Miller Oil Co-op.
Bruce was a member of Future farmers of America. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his two sons, Lucas W. (Rose) Prifogle and Samuel L. (Mya) Prifogle; two grandchildren, Thomas Prifogle and Nicole Prifogle; three siblings, Steve (Pam) Prifogle, Diana (Dean) Criss, and Cathy (Brad) Newton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one son, Joey Prifogle.
A private graveside service will be held Saturday in South Union Cemetery. Pastor Matt Hartke will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force and the Kokomo V.F.W.
