Anthony “Tony” Allan Tarr, 44, Kokomo, beloved son, uncle, little brother and friend, passed away at 4:55 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 27, 1974, in Atwater, California, to Richard D. Tarr and Carol S. (Baire) Silvey.
Tony worked for Caravan Facility Management. He loved laughter and life and enjoyed cooking, music, movies and his dog, Trey. He cherished spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Carol and Don Silvey, Kokomo; brother, Jeff Baire, Kokomo; sisters, Kathy Tarr, Michigan, Teresa (J.R.) West, Arizona, Robin (Tim) Johnson, Michigan, Jody Kovich, Michigan, and Bethany (Scott) King Palmer, Arkansas; step-brothers, Steve (Sallie) Silvey, Illinois, Scott (Janet) Silvey, Minnesota, and Shawn (Cindy) Silvey, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Although we are saddened to say goodbye so soon, we rejoice that he will be reuniting with his beloved grandmother, Norma Clonce.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Jonathan Newton officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery. All are invited to a dinner that will follow the funeral service at First Friends Meeting, 1801 Zartman Rd., Kokomo. Memorial contributions may be made in Tony’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
