Anthony “Tony” B. Critchley, 53, Greentown, passed away at 11:32 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at his home. He was born March 4, 1966, in Kokomo, to George and Virginia (Cox) Critchley. On November 24, 1997, he married the love of his life, Barbara Bailey, and she survives.
Tony graduated from Northwestern High School in 1984 and attended Valparaiso Technical Institute. He worked at General Motors in Kokomo as a tech for 20 years. Tony was passionate about catching the next big fish and serving his community. He also enjoyed mowing, pushing snow and working at the Crossroads Warehouse Food Pantry whenever he could. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church.
In addition to his wife, Barbara Critchley, he is survived by his brother, Jeff (Pat) Critchley; mother and step-father, Virginia and Ray Riley; step-mother, Bonnie Critchley; step-brothers, Randy (Andrea) Cline and Bruce (Tami) Cline; step-sister, Tracy (Scott) Baber; brother-in-law, Bill Noone; nieces, Dionna (Mike) Murphy, Hannah (Tony) Cuyler and Amber Noone; and great-nieces, Annelyse, Emma and Lydia.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Critchley; step-brother, Jeff Cline; nephew, Mark Critchley; and his dogs, Muffin, Zoie and Cricket.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Tony’s caregivers and Guardian Angel Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Crossroads Community Church, 4254 S. 00 EW, Kokomo, with Pastors Jeff Harlow and Chris Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
