Jojo DePalma Delbridge, 74, of Kokomo, died peacefully at 9:30 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010, in the Golden Living Sycamore Village Health Care Center.

She was born Nov. 28, 1935 in Kokomo to Mildred (Griffin) and Gennaro DePalma.

On March 9, 1999, Jojo ‘s husband, Clarence “Tony” Delbridge preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, American Legion, Post 6 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, Post 1152. Jojo had also served on the Color Guard with the VFW Military Rites Team.

During her life, Jojo had nine children, Michelle Cooley Theresa Lynn, Kokomo; Jo Black of Warsaw, Regina (Burns) Kennedy of Burlington, Julia (Thursa Lorraine) Russell of Ohio, John M. Speight of Peru, George, Leslie and Geoffrey Tackett all of Indiana; three sisters, Catherine Torres of Greentown, Regina Wingard of Greenwood, and Margaret Cook of Kokomo; and one sister-in-law, Illa DePalma of Kokomo. Along with Jojo’s many dear friends are Dale Armstrong and R. Cripe both of Kokomo.

Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and six brothers, Tom, Frank, Gennaro, Paul, Tony and Don.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 3155 S. 200 W. Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Rev. Fr. Joseph Aytona CPM, will be the celebrant of the Mass. Visitation will be held from noon until 1 p.m. prior to the Mass at the church. Burial rites will follow at Crown Point Cemetery.

Shirley and Stout Funeral Home, Jefferson St. Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in memory of Jojo, to offset final expenses.
