Rev. Lucinda E. “Cindy” Hamilton, 60, Greenwood, formerly of Kokomo, was called home to be one of God’s angels at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010 from Beech Grove Meadows, Beech Grove, Indiana. She was born September 24, 1949 in Howard County, the daughter of Irvin Joseph and Martha Elizabeth (Rominger) Lamb. On May 24, 1985 she married Ronald Hamilton, who survives.

Cindy was a retired United Methodist minister, having served in the Northern Indiana Conference including, West Middleton, Forest, Hillisburg, Beamer and Swayzee, in this area. She was a graduate of Eastern High School in 1968, Indiana Business College in 1989, Garrett Theological Seminary Course of Study in 1995 and Tri-State University in 1997. She was a past member of Russiaville United Methodist Church before becoming a minister.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Jerrold Brown and his wife Edith of Kokomo; three step-sons, Joseph Hamilton of Las Vegas, Thomas Hamilton and his wife Carla of Bunker Hill, James Hamilton and his wife Kate of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Marvin Lamb and his wife Mary, Mike Lamb and his wife Theresa, all of Kokomo; grandchildren, Kaula May Brown, Ritchie Brown, Stephanie Hamilton, Taylor Hamilton, Cody Hamilton, Kylie Hamilton, Tyler Hamilton, Anthony Hamilton, Preston Hamilton, Gianna Hamilton; two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Patricia McCauley and one brother, Ronald Lamb.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 at Stout & Son Funeral Homes, Russiaville Chapel, 200 East Main Street, with Rev. Steven Fritchman. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Russiaville United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available.
