Helen V. Foreman, 91, Kokomo, formerly of Forest, died at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Howard Regional Health System. She was born October 27, 1918 in Frankfort, the daughter of Samuel H. and Viola Bell (Robinson) Whitman. She was married to Loren E. Herr and Roy I. Foreman, who preceded her in death.
Helen retired from Delco Electronics after 27 years of service. She was a member of Forest Baptist Church and UAW Local 292. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and crosswords. She was an avid Cubs and I.U fan.
She is survived by her children, Jack E. Herr and his wife Mary Kay of Spring, Texas, Ronald L. Herr and his wife Sue of Sharpsville, Danny Foreman of Indianapolis, Donna M. Foreman of Crown Point. Grandchildren, Mike Herr, Reagan Herr, James Donald Schocke and his wife Shelly, Rhonda Grimm and her husband David, Douglas Herr and his wife Lynne and Darin Herr and his wife Michelle; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son, Gary Keith Herr; one grandson, Scott Schocke and one great-grandson, Adam Luke Grimm.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville Chapel, 200 east Main, with Rev. Rob Marcus officiating. Burial will follow in Veneman Cemetery, Forest. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest Baptist Church or to the Veneman Association, with envelopes available.
