Lois M. Thatcher, 92, Kokomo, passed away at 2:12 pm Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Primrose Retirement Community.  She was born February 27, 1925, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Herman & Lillian Rogers.  On June 6, 1943, she married Kenneth Thatcher who preceded her in death May 23, 1991. 

Lois was a 1943 graduate of Kokomo High School.  She retired from Delco Electronics after 30 years of service, and was one of the first women radio repairman at Delco.  Lois was a member of the Kokomo Art Association, and the Union Baptist Church near Forest.  She enjoyed painting, sculpting, playing cards and playing Bingo. 

Lois is survived by her sons, Larry L. Thatcher, Russiaville, and Jeffery L. (Karen) Thatcher, Kokomo; grandchildren, Alex Thatcher, Cory Thatcher, Mac (Laura) Thatcher, and Dawn (Rick) Fields; great-grandchildren, Adam Thatcher, Abby Thatcher, Shelby Thatcher, Isabella Thatcher, Sarah Thatcher, Ethan Thatcher, Evan Thatcher, Josh (Ashleigh) McGinnis, Jordyn (Thad) Hall, Austin Anderson, and Carlee Anderson; great-great-grandchildren, Cayden Hall, and Addyson Hall.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and three sisters.

The family would like to thank Great Lake Hospice and Primrose Retirement Community for the care during Lois’ final days.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Steve Cole officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11-1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Lois’ memory to Wounded Warriors Project, 230 W.
