Dear Peggy and family, I was shocked and saddened upon hearing of Gayle's untimely death. I have many fond memories of our childhoods in Russiaville and recall his birthday parties and going out to his grandparents place to build floats for homecoming. He was a good man and I know he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

My first memory of Gayle comes from the rainy spring of 1951 when we were both pre-schoolers at Quaker Haven Camp near Syracuse, Indiana. The McMinn family had a cabin there, and Bob, an electrician, had recruited my father, Ike, the plumber, to come and assist in preparing the cement block bath houses for the first joint camping season of Western and Indiana Young Friends. Also helping was Edward Linton, a pastor, along with his wife, Violet, an artist f/Friend of Hazel McMinn. Through the years all of us have continued to learn and grow through encounters with God in His magnificent creation, as evidenced in places like Quaker Haven. The foundations laid by the Christian examples of our parents and grandparents provide grounding in faith for the generations to come. Gayle and Peggy have carried on the traditions of faith to their children and grandchildren in visible and tangible ways. May the memories help to sustain all of you in this season of great loss.

We are saddened and shocked to hear of Gayle's passing! Your family have always left us with sweet memories. Seeing how Gayle's mom had a place in your home, and how the grandkids' lives are entwined with yours shows a loving family atmosphere. An absolutely wonderful example for us all! He will most definitely be missed. We are praying for you all!

Peggy & Family:
Our sincerest condolence to the family for the passing of Gayle McMinn. I have so many fond memories from the 2nd Grade to the 7th Grade. Working on the Russiaville School paper in his basement and selling it for 2 cents. Many basket ball games in his back yard. He will be sadly missed. Found this obit while searching for my Aunt's Obit. May the Lord Bless & Keep you & your Family!
