Beverly Joan Mitchell, 83, Kokomo, passed away at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born June 3, 1934, in Kokomo, to Ray V. and Elizabeth (Hoppe) Clark.  On June 19, 1981, she married Robert A. Mitchell, and he survives.

Beverly worked as an LPN for several doctor’s offices and hospitals in the area before retiring.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Gregory Smith and Curtis Smith; three stepsons, Randy Mitchell, Roy (Tammy) Mitchell and James Mitchell; stepdaughter, Theresa Young; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Phyllis Clark; and niece, Pam McComb.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Beverly’s wishes were to be cremated.  No public services are planned.  Memorial contributions may be made to Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, IN 46979, to assist the family with arrangements.  Messages of condolence may be expressed online at www.stoutandson.com.

Curtis, I a sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. She will be in your dreams for the rest of your life, often giving comfort. Parents are so necessary to forming who we are. You are a good person, so your mother must have been good as well. May your memories of her bring you the solace that you desire.
