Stephen Paul Norris, 64, Kokomo, passed away at 4:43 pm Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born November 27, 1952, in Somerset, KY.  He was the son of Cecil & Okia Fay (Denny) Norris.  On May 4, 1973, in Crawfordsville, he married Beverly G. Bushong and she survives.

Stephen was a 1971 graduate of Wingate High School in Wingate, IN.  He worked for General Motors as a fork truck driver for 18 years.  Stephen was a member of UAW Local #2209, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #167 in Richmond, IN.   He enjoyed playing guitar, deer hunting, boating, camping, and riding his motorcycle. 

Stephen is survived by his wife, Beverly Norris, Kokomo; children, Bridget (Dan) Hinkle, Marsha Morris, and Tonia (Adam) Schambers, all of Kokomo; grandchildren, Duntin (Jessica) Hinkle, Corey Hinkle, Mariah Jenks, Justine Jenks, Toby Pierce, Alex Hinkle, Mason Hinkle, Austin Schambers, Jonathan Schambers, and Christopher Schambers; siblings, Edward (Lennie) Norris, Brookeville, IN and Marilyn Johnson, Crab Orchard, KY, along with several nieces and nephews.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Greg Reed officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3-5 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Stephen’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278, or to the American Diabetes Association, 6415 Castleway W. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Stevie. I am also sorry that I won't be able to attend the funeral. May God comfort each and everyone of you during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear about Steve. We went to Coal Creek Central together. Steve was the only reason I enjoyed Science class. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I will never forget the good times we all had together at the family reunions wish we all could of been closer can u imagine how crazy we would have drove y'all n mom n dad!! So sorry for your loss believe me I KNOW how much of a loss you will always feel without your daddy. My daddy loved Stevie n u girls so much now they can drink coffee together n pitch horseshoes again. All my love n prayers
