Dear Anitha, Simha, Veena, Charlotte (Sinkfield) Morrison, Cecil, Russell, Crystal and extended family of Robert "Bobby" Sinkfield -

You are in our thoughts, prayers at this time with wonderful fond and lasting memories of our childhood days. Bobby was always a very intelligent, mature, and fun-loving person with the kindest smile. He was the Captain of the school patrol at Riley Elementary School (and I was alongside him as the Lieutenant). Even at that young age, he demonstrated steadfast responsibility and quiet leadership. I have always admired Bobby and always will remember him. May the love and peace of God be with you and us all during this time of grief and sorrow.

Bobby had an adventurous spirit; he was open to the wonder of and had an appreciation for the beauty in this world. He was always as keen to hear about my adventures as I was to hear about his. It’s remarkable, but it strikes me now thinking back on all of our conversations, that I never heard Bobby say a negative word about anyone. During his “spider experience” it was tough to hear about the physical toll it took on him, knowing how much he enjoyed sports and the outdoors. But in spite of those troubles, I never heard him curse brown recluse spiders or bemoan his unfortunate luck either. It seemed that he just shifted gears and focused on the positives in his life; the thrill of having children, the love of family, music. He seemed to be as happy chilling with his own thoughts as anything else, but when you crossed paths he had an easy smile and a calm demeanor that left you feeling positive too. You were always left wishing you could hang out more often. Yeah, there was never enough of Bobby to go around in this world in the first place I think, and now we have to go on without, trying to shift the gears. It’s not as easy as he made it look. Rest in peace, Bob Sinkfield. May God bless and keep your family. You will be missed my friend.

Anitha,

I cannot begin to put in words how saddened I was to hear about Bob’s passing. But in my sadness, I was reminded of who and how Bob was and it immediately brought a smile to my face and thoughts of the many great times we all had to mind. Although we have not seen or spoken to you all in many years, know that we are here any time you need us. We all “grew up” together in Kokomo, so that makes you family! I was heartbroken and overcome by great sadness to recently hear about this news. He will be sadly missed. Bobby was truly a math whiz. I remember the time he tutored me in math and provided inspiration for me to continue my studies. He was someone; I knew I could always count on to provide sound advice no matter the subject matter. He was one of the smartest people; I ever met.
